Last week Ali and Grace cleared the Whispering Pines trail in preparation for yesterday’s Bioblitz, and the rest of us worked at Three Sisters, clearing the lower trail and establishing a trail to the summit in preparation for the Geology Hike August 3.
This week Joe, Bob, Chuck and anyone else interested will return to Three Sisters to put in a few more stone steps and work to level the upper trail in a couple of spots. Rock moving tools and the hazel hoe will be useful.
The rest of us will work at Welch Parcels to clear the trails. The new Marque signs have just been erected. Useful tools will be rakes, loppers, leaf blowers, long handled hedge trimmers (for the trail through the field) and weed whackers.
For each, meet at 9. For Three Sisters, meet at 1154 Amity road. For Welch, park along Sperry Road in the area of 376.
