Last week we cleared branches and downed trees along the route of the Oct 11 hike from the Car Park to Whispering Pines. Newly painted trail signs were erected. We also removed the knotweed at the Car Park, revealing our plantings, which seem to have really appreciated all the rain we had and are thriving.
This week, we will go to Mendells Folly to clear storm-related downfall. Chainsaws, loppers, pruners, and leaf blowers will be useful.
We will meet at the Van Epps Parking Area, 390 Beacon Road at 9 AM on Wednesday.
