Last week the trails at Van Epps were readied for the hike there on April 12, and we continued shaping and clearing the parking area at 101 Russell Rd. Today heavy equipment removed large boulders and compacted the surface in preparation for spreading millings which will also be done with heavy machinery. For our part, we are now ready to go ahead and put in the trail connecting it to the Hidden Brook Trail. For this, leaf blowers, loppers, rakes and chainsaws will be useful, plus we will be blazing it..
