October 22nd

Last week we got a good start in building bog bridging at a perennially wet area of the Hall Preserve.  Chuck Oman donated 6, 2 x 6  planks, which are now being put to good use.  (And BTW, if anyone else has planks they would like to donate, they could be put to good use building similar bog bridging at Welsh Preserve.)

This week Andre and Norm are returning to the Veteran’s Park Trail to remove the remaining downed trees.  The rest of us will return to Hall Preserve to finish the bog bridging and continue invasive removal. Stone moving tools, hammers, and invasive clearing tools will be useful.  A leaf blower would also be helpful.

Currently the Wednesday forecast is for rain to end earlier in the morning.  However, if the rain does not appear to be letting up we will move the date to Friday.  If you are planning to come Wednesday, let me know and I will text an update Wednesday morning around 8 AM.

Hall Preserve is located at 152 Downs Road.  Hope to see you Wednesday at 9!
