October 1st

Last week the crew cleared the trails at Carrington Lowell, and, spotted a barred owl that didn’t seem to mind the racket created by a weed whacker.

This week we are going to clear the trail at Split Rock.  There is the usual assortment of blockages and invasive barberry, so useful tools will be loppers, a chainsaw, weed whackers, and materials to tackle the barberry.  This trail begins at the end of Split Rock Road and continues through to Russell Road. Park in the turnaround.  We meet at 9 AM.
