Last week we worked the trails at Whispering Pines, Carrington Preserve and Hidden Brook in preparation for the Citizen Science hike September 7, and we applied a bark drench to selected beech trees to help them survive beech leaf disease.
This week we are returning to Simpson and will work on rerouting a trail and installing stone steps. Useful tools will be a rake, shovels, hazel hoe, leaf blower and stone moving tools.
We will meet at the end of Lebanon Rd at 9 AM Wednesday.
